Breakfast on 12/05/2009

Where to begin. When we arrived to the Breakfast with Santa we should've taken the hint from their failing neon sign that instead of reading "Akron Restaurant" it now reads "Akron R    u  n ". Run is just what we should've done. However we were feeling brave this morning and it was for a good cause.

We parked on the side of the building and walked around trying several doors before we could find one that would let us in. Perhaps they should put signs on them.

Got into the restaurant and noticed that it was rather dark and dingy looking.

We paid for our tickets to the event and went to get our food. The food was hot when we got it out of the buffet tins however by the time we sat down in the back room is was luke warm due to the ice cold air blowing down on us from the ceiling.  Not sure if they had the air conditioning on or if the building is really drafty but it made the pancakes and egg rubbery almost immediately.

Dreadful, would not recommend

Dinner on 12/27/2009

This time it was my Mom and Dad. When we got there we noticed that most of the pizzas that were out were pepperoni. I realize that this may be one of the most popular toppings however I don't think they meant to have every pizza be pepperoni, especially at an establishment that touts having such a large variety. We started off with some simple salads and came up for pizza later when they had more variety.

Service was really good and they did a good job keeping the place clean.

Always pretty busy so expect to wait in a few lines.

We would recommend.

Dinner on 01/02/2010

Dad got the Singapore Noodles which is rice noodles, chicken, pork, veggies, stir fried in some hot curry seasoning. I've gotten it here before and it's been good. This time it was a bit on the dry side. I also got the Wok n Roll Wonton Soup. It's like regular wonton soup however they add chopped shrimp to the wonton. It was good however the shrimp adds a bit of a different texture to the 'meat' of the wonton.

Mom got her usual, the sesame chicken. She said it was good. I tried some and it was.

Junior got his favorite, sesame chicken. He loved it however he was not a big fan of the fried rice. I thought both were good.

We would recommend with a tip, try to avoid buffet night.

Lunch on 12/26/2009.

When we walked in there were several small tables of different heights and sizes. We had to clean off our table before we could sit down to eat. There were no signs displaying any lunch specials. We only found out there was a lunch special when two guys behind us in line ordered the special.

She ordered a small california cheesesteak.

He ordered the Chicken Fingers.

I ordered a large regular cheesesteak.

We shared an order of French Fries and cheese sause.

Both of our subs did not seem like it was fresh made meat.  It seems like it microwaved and wasn't very warm. The cheese was not melted at all. The hoagie roll was pretty good. The French Fries were pretty good but the cheese sause was cold when we got it.

We would not recommend this place to anyone and will not be returning unless there is a change in management.
